Capture the Light: Explorations in oil by Shawna Patenaude

For artist Shawna Patenaude, there's a detailed fascination in conveying light around her work. The award-winning oil painter recently debuted her series titled "Capture the Light" at the Aurora Public Library. The oil painting collection is so named for Patenaude's balance of light and shadow on the objects she's painted, giving the images an almost photographic quality. A display of her expressive pieces were put on display and is available to see at the library's Colleen Abbot Gallery until March 15th.
