myAPL Video Screening & Awards Ceremony

The Aurora Public Library turned into a movie festival night with its first annual Video Screening & Awards Ceremony. Community members spent the fall and winter of 2012 recording and producing video documentaries about what the library means to them, and had a premiere of their work in an evening full of popcorn and applause. The submitted videos were seperated into categories for adults and teens, with $100 prizes awarded to the aspiring directors who wowed the judges best. The panel of judges included Mayor Geoff Dawe, who submitted a video shoot of his own making to help welcome in the contest. Congratulations to all who participated!
