Neighbourhood Networks Free Seminar
Neighbourhood Network hosted a free seminar for local charities and nonprofit organizations focused on recruiting board members – the top-level volunteers who help guide the organizations’ overall strategy and mandate. The seminar, titled "Recruiting Board and Committee Members," was given by Tracey Bailey, a Vice-President with Ketchum Canada and a fundraising and communications expert specializing in the nonprofit sector. The workshop marks the second in a series of seminars hosted by Neighbourhood Network. In May of this year Neighbourhood Network hosted a seminar titled "How to Write a Winning Proposal" that showed local charities and nonprofit organizations proven and effective methods for securing public and corporate funding. The seminar was free of charge to any nonprofit organization, charity or community group based in Newmarket or Aurora.
