Aurora Terry Fox Run

The looming skies of possible rain didn’t stop the many people who participated in this year’s Terry Fox Run held at Shepherd’s Bush on Sunday September 14th. People of all ages ran, walked, biked and even roller bladed, in memory of friends and family whose lives were touched by cancer.
Volunteers helped out from Holy Trinity School, Aurora Air Cadets and St. John Ambulance and companies like Muldoon Marketing came out to show their support. The Aurora Barbarian Rugby team had an especially touching reason to be there. A fellow Rugby player and school teacher, Ryan Addison, passed from cancer – he was only 30 years old. His favourite saying “Knowledge is Power” still runs in the hearts and minds of the team and his students.
